Audrey Saunders’ 2005 modern classic is a nod to the Little Italy neighborhood bordering the home of her influential bar Pegu Club, as well as a tribute to the combination of Italian and American ingredients in the glass.

2 oz. Willett Family Estate
0.5 oz. Cynar
0.75 oz. Sweet Vermouth
Instructions
Add ice to your mixing glass
Add the ingredients
Stir until chilled
Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice
Add garnish (cherries)

Pro Tip: Reduce the Vermouth and Cynar slightly and add a touch of Agave for a more well rounded flavor.
