The Macallan A Night On Earth: In Scotland is a whisky for special moments worth sharing. A limited-edition whisky, this expression tells a story of New Year in Scotland through the New Year festivities of Hogmanay. During Hogmanay, the act of "first footing" signifies good luck, comfort, and happiness for the new year as a visitor usually gifts shortbread, whisky, and coal in representation. 

In collaboration with Erica Dorn, a Japanese-French Visual Artist renowned for iconic cinematic illustrations including working with leading director Wes Anderson.

NOTES

A whisky referencing Shortbread, a rich Scottish delicacy, punctuated by festive notes of dried orange and spice.

COLOR

Warm Ember.

NOSE

Vanilla, butter rich, baked apple, baking biscuits, plum and almond. 

PALATE

Soft velvety sweetness reminiscent of shortbread with a rich mouth coating, vanilla sweetness, with lightly toasted marshmallow, dried oranges, gift and cinnamon.

FINISH

Medium finish with sweet butterscotch and freshly baked biscuits.
