Heaven’s Door Straight Rye Whiskey

Heaven’s Door is an award-winning collection of hand-crafted American whiskeys developed in partnership with Bob Dylan. The perfect blend of art and craft, each bottle showcases Dylan’s distinctive welded iron gates that he created in his metalworking studio, Black Buffalo Ironworks.

Breaking with tradition, we finish our Straight Rye Whiskey in toasted oak cigar barrels, 3 year air-dried in the low-lying mountainous region of Vosges, France. This proprietary finishing process results in a smoother, more approachable rye with notes of orange peel, coriander and spice.

Heaven’s Door Straight Rye Whiskey is aged for seven years in new, charred American oak barrels. Breaking with tradition, the whiskey is finished in toasted oak cigar barrels, harvested and air-dried in the low-lying mountainous region of Vosges, France. This unique and proprietary finishing process - which has never used before in whiskey making - results in a smoother, more approachable rye, with notes of citrus and spice to shine.

French oak cigar barrels impart silkier flavor tannins and mellowing characteristics to Heaven’s Door Rye Whiskey, balancing out the grain’s inherent spice. Unlike traditional bourbon barrels, Heaven’s Door’s cigar barrels are not charred, allowing the naturally occurring flavors of air dried oak to shine.

FINISH

Smooth and approachable with a long-lasting finish of orange peel, coriander and spice.
